JoJo Maman Bebe very kindly sent the kids some clothes from their new Safari Adventures collection a few weeks ago, and we finally had a reason to wear them today at Carbis Bay Beach. We’re in Cornwall for a family wedding, and today there was a big family lunch after the main event yesterday.

The kids are completely knackered (and now tucked up in bed) but they’ve had a brilliant time playing by the sea. The outfits – a bright blue applique safari dress for my daughter, and a quirky JoJo safari-print shirt for my son – were just smart enough to wear to a nice lunch, but relaxed enough to get covered in sand on the beach.

We’ve reviewed some clothes from JoJo Maman Bebe before – their cute unisex animal hoodies back in autumn – and these new outfits are beautifully bright just in time for summer. Plus, they feel lovely – I don’t buy many of the kids’ clothes new (we get given so many second-hand clothes from friends and family, plus I’m a big fan of my local NCT sale – both of which make a girl incredibly stingy), so quality is a biggie if I’m actually going to splash some cash.
As for the setting, Carbis Bay provided the perfect spot to get a few photographs of their outfits. It’s a beautiful bit of the Cornish coast, just around the corner from St Ives. We’re staying close by, in a lovely little beach chalet next to the sea in Phillack, which we rented on Airbnb. Having left home in a deluge of rain, it’s been great to feel a bit of much-needed sun on our skin. Now, if it could just stay like this for the next couple of days, that’d be great…
Thanks to JoJo Maman Bebe for sending us their lovely clothes and saving me the hassle of working out what the kids should wear today.
